9/23/2022 End of window updates for ELI, FAST and Panorama's Student Success systems
We have several critical updates related to the end of the fall window for screening.
- The end of the screening window approaches. Here are a few things to check on before you get to the end of the window so that there is time to resolve any concerns identified.
- Confirm that you have completed screening with your default assessments using Healthy Indicator report #1 in Student Success.Check here to confirm the default assessments identified for your school.
- Please ensure that you’ve correctly ended enrollment for students no longer in your school. However, we are not able to remove HSAP, Dual Enrolled students or students on alternate assessment.
- If you are still experiencing issues making students visible for testing in FAST, please work with us in the FAST ticket system as soon as possible so we have time to find and resolve the problems.
- We will be adjusting the Fall Screening window definitions in Student Success to accommodate issues affecting new school buildings in reports and literacy status calculations. The result is that HI reports will finalize October 7th, a week later than the end of the regular screening window.Literacy status may continue to update until October 7th. Reports will switch to “between window” views after October 7.
- K-6 student literacy status is automatically calculated for you in Student Success. Read here to understand how it is calculated how to find a student's literacy status and how to filter by literacy status.
- If you haven’t already done so, make sure to set up PM in FAST, but you do not need to set up interventions there.Intervention tracking for ELI is required in Student Success. Read more about it here.
- We are aware that there are many new school leaders across Iowa who may be having to learn about FAST, ELI and Student Success on the fly. The following supports are available to help:
- Make sure new school administrators and others have access to our regular communications. Forward this message to them, and encourage them to sign up for the email list.
